Okay, so I thought I should mention the poll I have over on the side...thanks to everyone who has voted so far. So anyway, that's just a name I've decided I really like, partly because Abigail means "my father's joy." I think the meaning could fit with both her Heavenly Father and with her eartly father, since I'm pretty sure she'll end up with Bryce wrapped around her little finger.
And in case you're wondering or don't already know, no, Bryce doesn't like the name. I think it's because he can't get over "Abby Normal," but there may be people out there who don't even know the reference to that one.
I keep thinking that if Bryce never comes up with a girl's name he actually likes, I will win by default, so I think I won't be bugging him about names anymore. :)
So if you haven't already done so, feel free to vote on my poll as to your opinion on the name. Also feel free to comment here and tell me what you really think, if you really do like it or if you really think I'm weird for liking it (Bryce goes with the latter there). Since ultimately your opinions don't really matter (we gave our 4th son the middle name of Herbert, for example), feel free to express them. But they could possibly give me more ammunition to use to convince my husband that it's not a horrible name. :)

I didn't know the reference to "Abby Normal." I had to ask Neil. He thinks the reference is pretty obscure. :)
I have a niece named Abigail, so I really wouldn't mind having another one. I think the name sounds very pretty.
