You may have noticed that I said before that I was going to try to do a post every week with some thoughts on my Sunday School lesson, but I haven't done that yet this week. It's because of General Conference this weekend. I actually get a week off of teaching, which is always nice. I've continued to study and prepare for my lesson as I usually do, I just have an extra week to do it. Not that it will really help the lesson be any better. This lesson actually covers my favorite part of the Book of Mormon, which is when Christ first appears to the Nephites. I really think that if I were to ever leave the Church, I would still have to believe that He visited the people in the ancient Americas. It just makes sense. So anyway, I'll probably have more thoughts on that sometime next week.
Ben has had the last two days off from school and has Monday off as well. He keeps saying how glad he is that he got an extra long weekend, despite the fact that he and Alex have spent half the time fighting. We haven't even gone to do anything fun with him being off because Daniel has been sick and I think has finally succomed to getting another ear infection. I'll probably take him to the doctor tonight just to see. Hopefully he'll be feeling better by Monday so we can do something fun with Ben on his last day of vacation. We're thinking of taking a picnic to the zoo since they have a new exhibit opening this weekend.
Alex had his weekly speech therapy session today. I feel bad for him when he gets frustrated because he can't say the words correctly. Today he wouldn't say anything for 5-10 minutes because he was frustrated. It's going to take a lot of work and practice, but he'll eventually get it.
The other day as I was online, Alex was typing his name on the computer and Chris wanted to do it too. As Alex was typing his name, Chris would say, "C-h-r-i-s." He then hit the 3 on the keyboard and said, "That's me!" I said, "But you don't spell Chris with a 3." He said, "But I'm 3, so that's me."
Daniel has been talking more and more lately. He and I were going out the front door the other day and Ozzy started barking (as he always does...it gets rather annoying sometimes). Daniel looked at me, grinned, and said, "Shup dog!" He grinned at me again, then said, "Ozzy!" and started heading towards the fence. I guess "shup dog" is a phrase he hears often.
So that's my new post for the week. Nothing too exciting and rambled quite a bit, but at least it's something. :)

LOL! I just can't figure out when he would have ever heard somebody saying that to the dog. ;)
Chris is rather funny about the number three lately, it's kind of cute.
I really lost track of things, guess I won't be sending J to the zoo with Si tomorrow. No offense, but no choir this week - YAY! I keep forgetting it's already General Conference again.
Hope Daniel's feeling better!
LOL! Katie, I just can't figure where he's heard it either. :)
There are times when the self-centeredness of three years olds is very cute. This is one of them.
Hope Daniel's feeling better soon, too. Will he have to have tubes now?
His doctor said we'd give him one more time after the last one, so I think that chances are that he will have to have tubes. Poor kid.
