Today is Bryce's 34th birthday. I feel bad because it seems like this year we're really not donig much for it. He had to go in to work an hour early this morning and will probably have to stay a bit late, then I have a dentist appointment at 7:00 tonight. And he probably won't even get a cake because I don't have all the things I would need to make his favorite cake. If I had the car today, I could go to the store to get the things I would need for it, but I let him take it because he seems to prefer to take it when I don't need it for doctor appointments or things like that. So I do feel a little bad.
It's incredible to me that he was 10 years younger than he is now when we got married. I know that's how it happens when you've been married for almost 10 years, but it really doesn't seem like we should be this much older. I'm sure I'll be saying the same thing 10 years from now, only it won't seem like we should be 20 years older than when we got married. We had our first kiss 10 years ago 2 days after his birthday. It's amazing how fast time flies.
I'm so lucky to be married to such a smart, talented, and wonderful man. He's a great dad and a great husband. I hope he has a very happy birthday, even though we probably won't get a chance to really celebrate it today.
