The doctor called today...
She got the results of most of the blood tests back and is just waiting on the food allergy ones. So for the ones she has, she told me what the results were. He does not have Celiac Disease, so that's good. People with Celiac disease have problems absorbing nutrients in their small intestine and can't tolerate gluten. (In case you didn't know what it was.) His thyroid is also completely normal. The bloodwork for kidney and liver and blood functions came back normal as well. But he is anemic, so we get to start giving him either straight iron or multivitamins with iron in them, both of which don't taste good. We're supposed to give it to him for 3 months, then we'll see how he's doing and decide if we need to re-test that. Now we just need to find out if he has any food allergies.

I read a hint in the Nick Jr. magazine. Said to give kids either an ice pop or a piece of ice to suck on before you give them bad-tasting medicine. Supposed to numb the taste buds so it won't taste as bad.
My kids like Flintstones Complete vitamins. They come with iron and you can start giving half of a tablet daily when they are two. That might be worth trying if your doctor says it's okay since he'll be two next week. Hope he'll be okay.
